Seminar of François Noudelmann

SHARED LISTENING : Cries and whispers

Tuesday 21th February - 7pm - Maison de l’Amérique Latine
Tuesday 28th February - 7pm - Salon H

Anne-Laure Chamboissier, art historian and curator, will speak at the seminar "Cries and whispers" from François Noudelman (Paris VIII) in the form of commented listening rooms. She will make multiple voices heard through sound pieces designed by poets, visual artists, composers (Bernard Heidsieck, John Tilbury, Charles Dodge ...). This use of narrative, of voice, elaborates multiple narrations put into words and sounds, opening towards a set of mental images, sound landscapes and / or still playing on the cinematic potentiality of the writing.

This seminar will continue in a second stage on Tuesday 28 February at Salon H with a meeting between Anne-Laure Chamboissier and the visual artist Emmanuel Lagarrigue. His work has developed over the past ten years around central themes of language, memory, experience and perception. This exploration of language, through the use he makes of the writing of certain writers or philosophers (Fernando Pessoa, Camille de Toledo, Maurice Blanchot, Jean-Luc Nancy ...), is deployed in sound pieces with varied registers .
