Cédric Maridet

Born in 1973, he lives and works in Hong Kong.

He studied literature and sociolinguistics at Paris VII University, and holds a PhD in Media Arts (City University of Hong Kong). His practice includes intensive field work and research to create videos, installations, photography, sound compositions and works on paper which construct narratives based on history, fiction or science in order to interrogate our modes of existence. Maridet has participated in several artist in residence programmes. He featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including at the Tate Modern in the UK, Para/Site and Asia Art Archive in Hong Kong where he also showed his latest works under the title “Fragments d’histoires futures” at the Blindspot gallery in March 2016.
